Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)?

NEMT is a prearranged ride to a medical appointment for someone who does not need an ambulance but cannot easily drive or take transit. We pick riders up at home, help them to the vehicle, and bring them to the door of their appointment and back.

What areas do you serve?

San Diego County and Riverside County, California, including trips between the two counties. Call to confirm availability for your addresses.

How far in advance should I book?

At least 24 to 48 hours ahead when you can. Recurring rides such as dialysis can be scheduled once and repeated every week. Same-day rides are accepted when a driver is available.

Do you provide wheelchair-accessible rides?

Yes. Tell us when you book if the rider uses a wheelchair, walker or scooter so we send the right vehicle.

Can a caregiver or family member ride along?

Yes. One companion or caregiver may ride with the passenger. Let us know when you book.

How much does a ride cost?

Private-pay rides are priced per trip: a base pickup fee plus mileage and any wait time. Request a free quote and we'll confirm the price before the ride. Facilities, clinics and agencies can ask about contract rates.
